News and Awards for Children's World!

Children's World is featured in the November 27th edition of the Sarasota Herald Tribune....

"Easter Seals Southwest Florida is asking designers from all over the world to develop a toy or sensory aid to assist children in their ability to process their sensory environment.

The competition is open to anyone who can contribute new ideas. The item may focus on developing one or multiple senses.

"Thirteen to 16 percent of children are diagnosed with sensory disorders," said Nicole Murby, director of Children's Therapy at Easter Seals, in a prepared statement. "Imagine the life of the child for whom 'average' sounds are actually painful to hear."

The competition is sponsored by Children's World Uniform Supply and Rooks Advertising.

Submissions are due Jan. 27. The winner will be announced Feb. 14, honored at the Design & Wine Gala on Feb. 24 and receive $1,000 and admission to the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association's Marketplace and Academy in June.
