Sarasota County Environmental Services awarded
Children's World Uniform Supply for its work to "Keep Sarasota
Beautiful". This award recognizes the improvements at the
new store both inside and out. And now, Children's World Uniform
Supply has been certified as a Green Business Partner for Sarasota
County. We are pleased to do what we can to reduce our
impact on the environment through programs meant to reduce, reuse and
recycle what we can.

On March 26, 2008 Children's World Uniform Supply
closed its doors for half the day, as the entire staff journeyed to
Tampa to help raise money for the Diocese of St. Petersburg Christian
Music radio station 90.5 FM. The Children's World staff spent the day
manning the phones and taking pledges for the radio station's "Spread
the Word" drive. The drive is a two-day event, that focuses entirely on
raising money to fund evangelism items like billboards, bumper stickers
and other give-away items that spread the word about the station, and
God.

Children's World Uniform Supply
joins ASTRA
Children's World Uniform Supply has joined the
American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA)
and is Leading the Way Through Play by providing
quality products that help children have fun, achieve success and lead
happy, healthy lives. ASTRA is the largest association
for companies in the toy and children’s products arenas.
As an
ASTRA member, Children's World Uniform Supply believes anyone who
distributes toys to children has a responsibility to ensure those
products do no harm. ASTRA encourages all its members to be
vigilant in their individual efforts to uphold that commitment to our
children.
Donation to those in need...
Tim and Cynthia Holliday, owners of Children's World
Uniform Supply, were recently featured in the Observer and the Florida
Catholic News for their charitable gift of $10,000 in uniforms to
Catholic Charities in Arcadia. Their daughter, Faith, age 4, also
donated toys and games for the children there.
Through their work with the outreach and youth
ministries at St. Thomas More parish, they have become aware of the
needs of the migrant community. They came understand the needs and
responded with this generous gift.
Cynthia Holliday was quoted in the Observer, "We are
happy to help in any way we can. We know these clothes will be put
to good use here."
